You can now talk inside Kizuna during a session

You can now talk by voice inside Kizuna during a check-in, a retrospective or the Drucker Exercise. There is no need to open another meeting tool alongside it.

How to use it

You are connected automatically the moment you enter the lobby. There is no join button. You start muted, and the browser only asks for permission when you turn the microphone on.

  • In the lobby: the microphone button is below the participant list
  • During a session: the microphone is on the left of the footer at the bottom of the screen
  • While you speak the button turns into a green waveform, so you can see your voice is getting through
  • Anyone not in the call gets a mark at the bottom right of their avatar

You choose whether to use the call

Press "get started" and a screen appears asking you to choose "with voice chat" or "without voice chat". Choose "without" if you are meeting in person or using another meeting tool. Only the host chooses, and it applies to everyone.

Test your microphone on your own

We have added "check with your own voice" to the lobby of the practice retrospective (KPT). Press it and it records for four seconds, then plays it back. If you can hear yourself, your microphone and speakers are both working. Try it before the real thing.

Calls may disconnect automatically

So that unused calls are not left connected, they disconnect automatically in the following cases. After that, press the microphone to reconnect.

| | How long a call can stay connected | When nobody speaks | | --- | --- | --- | | Retrospective and Drucker | 90 min | 15 min | | Check-in | 30 min | 10 min |

Calls also disconnect after ten minutes in the lobby, and when the session ends. The details are at the end of the running guide on each screen.

When you end a session, a screen confirms that the call will end too.
